We were tasked to come up with a strategy to help the New York Times transition their company to the digital age.  Our initial research was based on the New York Times’ Innovation Report which was released 2014.  The report described how in many sectors, the New York Times was failing to reach today’s digital trends compared to their competitors and they were losing money.

After reading the report, we focused on aspects that worked and aspects that did not work.  From their we looked into other news publication companies both with physical papers and some purely digital.
